Message from Chris Harvey !

Hi Folkies and Real Ale Enthusiasts,

This coming Friday is as you will all know by now is the last Friday of the month. This is a last Friday with a difference though, Our glorious Landlord Paul is putting on a Beer Festival and has a list longer than a yard of ale of magnificent brews for your taste buds to relish. He has sent me a list of them which I am forwarding on to you all my darlings. To entertain you whilst you quaff these delectable nectars, he has booked, at enormous expense ( a pint and a packet of crisps ) the Fabulous Infamous and Inexpensive "BEATS WORKING" band. Their reputation goes before them, they are known for their ability to clear pubs before the evening has started, and several premises have subsequently been condemed as a result of their having appeared there. Don`t let that put you off though, they have not been known to bite anybody, apart from a few obnoxious children now and again, but not without provocation. As a consequence of this, there will not be the usual musical session that we all enjoy so much, but do come along and enjoy some Folk`n`Roots played at its most mediocre and with attitude featuring Fair Damsels and Old Gits, Great Harmonies and Grate Tunes.

As always I am yours

Ms Phyllis Stein.p.p

Chris an Hata & Eyewash Brady.

The Globe, Hanslope

I have marked the 1st Sunday lunchtime session at The Globe in Hanslope as being on hold. Until the pub is up and running again the situation will remain. No doubt Pete will let us know if anything changes.

Message from Michael Marshall

Just seen your blog and wondered if you know about the acoustic session at the Queens Head in Ampthill on the 1st Monday of every month.

Its an informal round the room kick about folk, rock indi blues what ever the guys bring along, mainly guitar but with the old Joanna in the corner, banjo, bohdran and a bass last week things are starting to mix up a bit, all are welcome.

Monk & Tipster

Please note Craig's message regarding the cessation of his open mic sessions at The Monk & Tipster in Towcester. I am assuming this doesn't affect the pub's own open mic session on the 2nd Tuesday.
