More at The Bull

Richard Frost has sent in the following information....

Scribal Gathering is an open mic music and spoken word event in Stony Stratford, which aims to support and provide a showcase for local musicians, poets and other performers. We invite anyone, of any ability or level of experience, to join us and share their talent.

Scribal Gathering happens on the second Tuesday of every month in the Stables Bar, behind the Bull Hotel in Stony Stratford, from 8.00pm to 11.00pm. Doors open from 7.30 - arrive early to sign up for open mic, as the list fills fast. The next event is on Tuesday 9th March.

The first Scribal Gathering on 9th February was an unprecedented success, with an overwhelming turnout of performers from nearby and further afield, getting together to create an atmosphere of warmth, welcome and excitement. We had headline acts, competitions with prizes, and some brilliant open mic performances. We hope to carry on as we start to mean.

Visit us at www.ScribalGathering.com or contact us - info@ScribalGathering.com to find out more. Better still, make your way down to Stony next Tuesday. Join us and invoke the spirit of Gathering!

Please note: This is a separate event from the existing acoustic session taking place in The Bull itself on the same evening.

Oxjam St. Patrick's in Leighton Buzzard

Sally has forwarded me details of the St. Patrick's Night jaunt around Leighton Buzzard....

Calling all musicians and singers, do come and join us for a grand St Patrick's Day pub crawl around Leighton Buzzard collecting money as we go for Oxfam as part of this years 3 week long Leighton Buzzard Oxjam Live Music Festival, see: http://www.leightonbuzzardonline.co.uk/buzz-2/Bluesman-Giles-Hedley-to-headline.6064622.jp (details and photos from last year are also on our Facebook page).

We shall start at 7.30pm-ish on Wednesday 17th March at the The Sun Inn, Lake Street, Leighton Buzzard LU7 1RX - as they have car parking. Then will progress around a further 4/5 pubs (The Roebuck, The Top Bell and The Red Lion) with food being very kindly provided for us at The Golden Bell, Church Square, who made us so welcome last year.
Like last year this promises to be a good fun evening. The more the merrier !
