Gone again

Apologies if the message board has gone walkabout again....it usually returns....eventually!

Posted Music

If the music being posted shows a heavy bias toward folk tunes it is because they come from the The Nottingham Folk Music Database where dots with their relevant midi files can be found together. If you have any dots or lyrics you would like posting send them in (or let me have a link so I can get them).

Gawcott problems

Apologies to anyone who made a wasted trek to Gawcott (like myself). As Geoff's message on the board says....the pub was closed. I guess no-one knew about it (apart from the landlord!) so we'll have to put it down to experience and hope that all will be well next month.

New open mic session (sort of !!)

Brian Tomlinson of "Big Fun with Brian" has drawn attention to an event he runs at "The Dolphin" in Newport Pagnell. Though not strictly a session as defined here it is a musical event open to all who want to participate. Details can be found on Brian's website here. I shall add it to the list as an "open mic" non-session though as Brian describes it....digital "anything goes" would define it better. It is every Sunday evening starting at 7.00pm. Looks interesting!

Midi files

Midi files are a great way to pick up new tunes, especially if reading dots isn't one of your strong points. Some software and details about using them have now been added to the site.
